DSCI is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for at Fort Belvoir, VA. The successful candidate will formulate, present, and execute all marketing plans/activities with coordinating interfaces to the Business Development and Operations Departments along with success with Capture and Proposal activities. Serves as the major contributor and subject matter expert in Strategic Planning.
EXPERIENCE WITH U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Communications and Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) A PREREQUISITE
- Responsible for managing multiple projects while interfacing/reporting to preexisting IDIQ organization.
- Develops, coordinates and implements marketing plans and strategies designed to retain and grow existing business and to identify and capture new opportunities.
- Leads and adheres to the Business Acquisition Process for new and/or re-compete business.
- Provides strategic marketing and operations planning toward the company`s business goals.
- Develops and harmonizes a Technology portfolio for sales and services to support the known and potential requirements of customers.
- Align company growth initiatives with customer market segment. Identifies and researches various upcoming opportunities to determine the company`s competitive posture.
- Oversees the identification and development of on-going relationships with key customers to seize potential opportunities in domestic and international markets.
- Participates in the development of creative price to win strategies to improve competitive posture and capture new business opportunities.
- Participates in the assessment of company capabilities and assists in the development of near, mid, and long-term business plans and marketing philosophies.
- Participates in the identification of resources (human, financial, contracting) required to capture opportunities.
- Participates in proposal development process to ensure implementation of marketing strategies.
- Develops nurtures and maintains relationships with IDIQ Prime Contractors and key Team Member Subcontractors in the joint pursuit of selective business opportunities.
- Integrates overall goals and objectives across multiple projects.
Expectation would be that the successful applicant resides in a location within commuting distance of Fort Belvoir.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor`s Degree in Business Management, Administration, Engineering, or related field, and at least 5 years of program related experience. In lieu of a degree, 13 years of related experience.
- Department of Defense (DOD) Technology background.
- CECOM and/or RDECOM experience.
- Retiring or retired military officer, with CECOM background, preferred.
- Strong program/project management skills.
- Solid understanding of government procurement, DOD contracts, regulations and procedures.
- Working knowledge of DOD Technology Practices and Standards
- Exhibits wide application of standard Technology theories, principles, concepts, and techniques, plus a working knowledge of Technology related disciplines.
- Demonstrated creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies for business growth. Ability to assess the business opportunities presented.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, listening, communication, and presentation skills. Outstanding and proven analytical ability. Team facilitation skills.
- Must be a US Citizen with Current DOD Secret clearance or clearable to Secret.
