DSCI is seeking several VMWare Engineers for our VIATECH Group in Seoul, S. Korea. The VMWare Engineer will be required to manage and serve as a team member on our architecture team maintaining multiple ESX hosts and guest servers, and will be expected to perform P2V migration of Windows servers into the VMWare infrastructure.
The candidate must possess well developed customer service and communication skills, be capable of providing technical oversight of the migrations, and be responsible for the planning, evaluation, troubleshooting and system development efforts of the P2V migration process. The successful candidate will be a self starter who can perform planning and scheduling of the various tasks. Must have the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
Candidates with VCP certification are preferred, and VMware experience in a large VMware environment is a plus. Enterprise virtualization skills and experience with server migrations, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and scripting are required.
MS Windows 2000 and 2003 Server experience needed.
Strong process and procedural documentation and writing skills preferred.
Experience with EMC SAN storage, HP EVA SAN Storage, Netapp storage desired but not required.
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance are required; a Bachelor`s Degree is strongly preferred.
