DSCI needs a Software Engineer to join our Biometrics team in Eatontown, NJ. Experience in the Biometrics (industry or academic) is required.
US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRETsecurity clearance are required.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
- Solid software engineering skills with at least a B.S in Computer Science (or a related field) with a concentration on biometrics.
- Exemplary general IT knowledge and proficiency in a range of relevant applications, languages and tools is preferred, including relational database schema design and implementation experience.
-At a minimum, C++/Java, XML, javascript, and SQL Server/MySQL are required.
-Prior experience with Linux is highly desirable.
-Solid grasp of OO concepts and implementing extensible, scalable, and de-coupled end-to-end solutions.
-Knowledge of SOA, Web Services and Web Security highly desirable
-Ability to map between abstract architectures and concrete technologies and participate in conceptualization, prototyping, automated unit testing, and implementation and test strategies.
-Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, and peer code reviews.
-Sharp analytical abilities, creative, proven design skills, excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and diagramming).
-Self-motivated and intellectually curious and relentlessly pursues quality with unyielding integrity.
Highly Desirable: Understanding of concepts and technologies relating to Identity Management and Logical and Physical access control. Understanding of verification and identification processes involving biometrics in controlled and uncontrolled environments.
