DSCI is recruiting a Buyer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Government Purchasing for our VIATECH division in Eatontown, NJ. Candidates should be United States citizens with a SECRET security clearance.
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree or 2 year Technical School required
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Interpret DoD/DA/PEO/PM policy and guidance. Provide technical oversight of assigned program initiatives. Responsible for acquisition initiatives. Work includes budgeting, scheduling and cost/risk analysis. Oversees integration of various functions such as funding and procurement. Assignments require developing detailed plans, goals and objectives. Analyze, balance and reconcile program requirements with available resources.
Description of Responsibilities:
1. Solicit subcontractors and vendors with RFP and RFQ.
2. Receive and evaluate proposals, quotations and bids for acquisitions on terms of favorable considering cost, schedule and performance.
3. Preparation of procurement packages to include but not limited to: Certificate of Cost and Pricing Data, Insurance Requirements, Technical Evaluations, Cost Analysis and Single/Sole Justification.
4. Maintain a constant interface with vendors to ensure the timely delivery in compliance with requirements.
5. Perform studies as assigned to refine and improve constantly the effectiveness of purchasing operations.
6. Coordinate proposal pricing support
7. Keep abreast of current market changes, regarding price fluctuations, strategic planning and economic plans.
8. Evaluate and conduct vendor surveys of available sources of materials and services.
9. Provide interface or updating the purchasing cycle with new systems and new ideas.
