DSCI is recruiting for three Network System Engineers for our New Jersey and Maryland offices. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Install, configure, maintain, secure, back-up, monitor and manage the GRD solutions OSs including both the Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Red Hat environments, version and patch level dictated by application and interface compatibility
- Provide monthly and emergency Microsoft Updates and Red Hat LINUX for all systems.
- Test connectivity of the servers to the network to ensure that the network interface is functioning properly and to an acceptable level of performance
- Install, configure, maintain, secure, back-up, monitor and manage the GRD solution databases including both Oracle and MS SQL, version and patch level dictated by application and interface compatibility
- Basic database administration for Oracle and Microsoft SQL database to include database creation, problem identification and remedy, patch and performance maintenance, remote access and administrative privileges consistent with sound business practices
- Performance and operational monitoring including: availability, connectivity, security, fail-over, error log management, etc.
- Configure the Storage Area Network (SAN) for more attached servers or larger Logical Unit nodes (LUN / disk storage)
- Populate, maintain, and administer user accounts and permissions for the OSs of serviced computers.
- Monitor the network and servers using a variety of monitoring tools.
- Backup all required servers using the three-generation or "grandfather-father-son" method.
- Respond to system outages and dispatch for repairs on hardware failures or restore OS problems
- Subcontractor shall provide monthly and emergency Cisco Updates for routers, switches, concentrators and firewalls on the network.
- Monitor and administer the PIX Firewalls and the CISCO VPN concentrators. Reconfigure Network Address Tables (NATs) as required.
- Implement and maintain Active Directory Group policies, modify Organizational Unit (OU) structure as directed, configure sites, manage replication, and maintain DNS services
- Install and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server, create and monitor users mail boxes, monitor system to ensure user email accounts are operational.
