Business Dev-GSA, Sr. Mgr-

Job Description:

DSCI is seeking a Senior Manager, General Services Administration Business Development. This position will report the Senior Vice President level.

Successful Key Attributes:

  • Candidate will have a documented “win list” to include multiple large (20M+) awards within General Services Administration (GSA)
  • Extensive “customer” intimacy with GSA
  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience in capture, pursuit, proposal and other business development activities
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience and expertise in “pipeline” development which correlates to strategic growth plans

Job Description:

  • Candidate will be responsible for winning new business within the GSA market.
  • Candidate responsibilities include application of full life-cycle business development methodologies and tools, including opportunity identification, qualification, positioning, bidding, competitive analysis, and related activities.
  • Candidate must understand the GSA marketplace (customer needs, preferences, policies, and operational concepts).
  • Candidate must be able to relate DSCI capabilities and services to the GSA enterprise market.
  • Candidate must be able to advise the account at a strategic level on tactical-level execution of opportunity-specific capture.
  • Candidate will be accountable for new business results in winning new GSA business.
  • Daily responsibilities include developing and maintaining client/potential client and industry partner relationships, and identifying and pursuing multiple marketing opportunities.
  • Candidate must demonstrate high energy, integrity and intelligence.
  • Candidate will supply sound business judgment, innovation in approaching business challenges and the ability to translate a strategic plan into operating results.
  • May plan and direct BD/Capture activities to achieve contract win success.

Additional Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Demonstrated strengths in organizational skills required in selecting, motivating and developing support staff.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Customer call plan development and execution
  • New business identification, qualification and capture
  • Sales funnel and B&P financial management
  • Bid review presentations
