XPRT Solutions is recruiting for a Senior SATCOM Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA.
This position requires a BSEE with a minimum of 7+ years related experience; strong skills and knowledge on satellite communication systems analysis and design and experience on analyzing UHF SATCOM link performance and characterizing the UHF SATCOM propagation.
The successful candidate must be familiar with Navy’s UHF SATCOM planning and engineering, and knowledgeable on the UHF SATCOM frequency planning in particular. Must have skills to develop communications analysis and planning procedures and algorithms, and to write an associated program in MATLAB.
Lead and intermediate Engineer positions available at our San Diego, CA location for supporting Navy’s UHF SATCOM frequency reuse planning program.
Lead positions will work to develop a tool to support Navy’s UHF SATCOM frequency planning operation, develop the frequency planning procedures and algorithms, to write the system design document, and to develop the associated program in MATLAB.
Lead will also develop UHF SATCOM link analysis and RF propagation models using MATLAB, communicate with Navy’s UHF SATCOM operation and user community to bring the user’s requirements to the program.
Be part of a fast-paced team that requires unique problem solving skills and a broad knowledge of communications in the areas of satellite communications.
Some travel may be necessary.
